Levi and Hannah got into it with the help of their brothers.
We brought her home yesterday afternoon. You forget how small babies are. She is so sweet. Levi is fascinated with her and gets this neat little smile on his face when he sees her. The boys all think she is cute. We were all just hanging out on the couch last night, it felt really special to have the whole family there. Jodi is a little tired today as Hannah was up a lot last night. Hopefully we can help her get lots of rest today.
Thanks to Cathy Franklin for dinner last night, awesome Mexican dish.
On the addition we hope they will pass the insulation inspection today and maybe start sheetrock this afternoon.
Uploaded some pictures from yesterday.
Hannah was born this morning at 1:26 am, 8 lbs 14 oz, 21.5". Jodi did great through the whole thing, amazing woman. No pain meds at all, even though she had planned to have a bit as we got closer. Labor was “augmented” a little and the contractions just seemed very predictable and manageable for her. Very thankful for a healthy baby and Mom, but don’t know why we have to have them at 1:30 in the morning though :-)
She’s pretty quiet at this point and eating well. Very sweet indeed.
I got my personal best at the Fiasco in Pasco. OK, it was my first and only time to do it, but still me best time. It was a fun event. The Pasco cross country course is very challenging, especially the second time you run it! I was pleased with both runs and the bike ride. Thanks Ron for taking the pictures!
I had a little time at Christopher's soccer practice earlier this week so I put together this video. Mainly, the video is for Levi who loves heavy equipment right now, so its a little long. Actually, maybe very long. Demo of the old system at around 4 minutes into it is kind of interesting.
Adding a new bedroom on the house requires that a septic system has an extra drain line, plus the tank needed to be bigger (even though it only needed 150 gallons more, and even though we would have the same number of people in the house, and… sigh).
It was a tough race this year. I don’t appreciate wind, except when its at my back. Given that, I still feel pretty good about my performance. I’m getting better at the bike, not getting passed as much!
My transitions could use some work. After the first run I ran up to where I thought my bike would be but it wasn’t there. Panic! Where is my bike?? Ron, who took the pictures said, “Jon, over here”. I was looking in the wrong row! Note to self: make sure you look at where you bike is from both ends of the chute. Maybe by the time I’m 50 I’ll figure it out!
We had a fun afternoon at the farm after church today. Ken showed us his new toy, a 1974 army truck he has converted to a sprayer truck. This replaces the old sprayer which was made somewhere in the 1940’s if I remember correctly. This truck even has a cab! Delux.
Just solving the problem is not enough sometimes, you need to make math fun. Check out one of Matthews math problems this week. Can you figure out the story?
Matthew would like to also advertise his blog. “If you would like to see more great pictures, visit my blog at http://mwmstuff.blogspot.com/”
Levi, at 22 months old, has learned to drop kick a ball. He started doing that a couple of weeks ago - just amazes me. Enjoy the video with guest appearances by Christopher and Caleb.
Here is a picture of the newest McCall baby. About 14 weeks along now! Looks more girl like then boy at this point, but its still to early to tell for sure. We will be happy either way!
